Manila, Feb. 19 -- The Philippine government remains committed to upholding human rights and advancing inclusive development, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said.

In a statement Wednesday, NEDA said Undersecretary Rosemarie Edillon made the commitment as the country participates at the constructive dialogue with the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in Geneva, Switzerland on Feb. 18 to 19.

The dialogue provides an opportunity for the Philippines to highlight progress in key areas, including poverty reduction, labor rights, education, healthcare, and social protection, as part of its treaty obligations under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)...
