Manila, June 30 -- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) downgraded its alert level in Israel to Level 2 (restriction phase) from Level 3 (voluntary repatriation).
In a Facebook post Monday night, the DFA said the measure takes effect immediately, following positive developments in Israel's security situation.
"The Department will closely monitor the situation in the region and will update the Alert Levels, as necessary," the DFA said.
Alert Level 2 is raised when there are threats to the life, security and property of Filipinos arising from internal disturbance, instability, and external threat.
