Manila, Sept. 18 -- Filipinos are again warned against suspicious job opportunities and recruitment schemes in Myanmar amid growing concerns over thousands of individuals trafficked into scam hubs in the region.

The Philippine Embassy in Yangon on Thursday issued an "urgent and serious warning" to all Filipino nationals and to exercise the "highest level of caution" against dubious employment offers.

"These schemes have already led many unsuspecting individuals into trafficking-in-persons networks, resulting in severe exploitation, abuse, and life-threatening situations," it said.
