Manila, April 30 -- The Data Center Association of the Philippines (DCAP) is targeting for 1 gigawatt total capacity of data center facilities by 2029, positioning the country as the storage hub for digital information in the region.

DCAP chair and co-founder Steven Davis told the Philippine News Agency on the sidelines of the industry group's Executive Roundtable Summit 2025 in Makati City Tuesday that the "Road to 1GW" target would require a total investments of around USD18 billion.

He said this target may also be achieved earlier, with the interest they are receiving from potential investors.
