Manila, Jan. 30 -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on Thursday said the Philippines was showcased as a role model in addressing cybersecurity and cybercrimes at the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
In Thursday's "Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon" episode, DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy said the Philippines was showcased in a video published by the WEF on Jan. 15 for its leadership in addressing global cybersecurity challenges, particularly the global rise of the "grandparent scam" that targets the elderly.
