Manila, April 4 -- The Philippine Army (PA) on Friday said its search-and-rescue team, which is part of the contingent deployed to quake-battered Myanmar, is working to help the affected communities through various tasks.
In a statement, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said troops from the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion started their inter-agency participation in relief efforts shortly upon landing at the Nay Pyi Taw Military Air Base earlier this week.
No specific areas or locations where the Philippine contingent was deployed were provided as of this time.
