Manila, Oct. 31 -- The Philippine Army (PA) has reiterated its commitment to International Humanitarian Law (IHL) following its meeting with Johannes Bruwer, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in the Philippines.

In a statement on Friday, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said the meeting took place during Bruwer's visit to the PA's headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Thursday.

"During the courtesy call, the PA vice commander Maj. Gen. Efren Morados expressed appreciation for the longstanding partnership between the PA and the ICRC, and introduced the organization's initiatives to sustain IHL-related programs," Dema-ala said.
