Manila, March 24 -- Philippine Army (PA) commander Lt. Gen. Roy Galido has expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for his approval of the increase in the daily subsistence allowance of all military personnel from PHP150 to PHP350.

"Mr. President, thank you very much for the increase in our subsistence allowance. Our soldiers will be assured that they have proper nourishment in their very active profession," Galido said in his speech during the Army's 128th founding anniversary over the weekend, which the President graced.

This increase was made possible through Executive Order (EO) 84 signed by the Chief Executive on March 14, which would be given retroactively starting Jan. 1, 2025.
