MANILA, Nov. 24 -- The Philippine Army (PA) is taking part in the 18-day nationwide campaign to end violence against women (VAW), which will last until Dec. 12.
During Monday's flag-raising ceremony at the PA headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Army chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete called on all officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees to actively support the campaign.
Nafarrete noted that the PA proactively reinforces the organization's gender and development policies in the fight to end violence against women.
