Manila, March 19 -- The Philippines and the United Kingdom held its inaugural Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) in London on March 17, with the vision of increasing the current bilateral trade of GBP2.8 billion (around PHP207.87 million).
According to the UK government website, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Allan Gepty and UK Minister for Trade Policy and Economic Security Douglas Alexander agreed to push for closer collaboration to boost economic ties, especially in sectors of infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture and technology.
