MANILA, March 5 -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Wednesday announced that its administrator, Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno, and Hungarian Ambassador to the Philippines, Titanilla Toth, had a high-level meeting focused on "pivotal high-level meetings focused on disaster response and humanitarian initiatives."
In a statement, the agency said this is a significant move to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
A central topic of the meeting, the OCD said, was the urgent need for effective water filtration systems to ensure access to clean drinking water for Filipino citizens during crises, reflecting a shared commitment to public health and safety.
