Manila, March 10 -- Highlighting the growing military ties between the two nations, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Monday formally opened the Chaplain Resiliency Development Course with Canada.

AFP public affairs office chief Col. Xerxes Trinidad, in a statement, said ranking Philippine and Canadian military officials attended the opening ceremonies at The Westin Manila in Mandaluyong.

The Chaplain Resiliency Development Course is scheduled to run until March 21 and will be delivered by the Canadian Directorate of Military Training and Cooperation.

Trinidad said the course aims to enhance the skills of chaplains across all denominations.
