Manila, Oct. 31 -- Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Roxas District Jail observed Undas (All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day) on Thursday night by lighting candles and offering prayers for their departed loved ones.
BJMP Mimaropa spokesperson JO3 Joefrie Anglo said the activity provides inmates a chance to reflect, remember, and honor their loved ones, despite being confined within the facility.
"Even behind these walls, their prayers carry the warmth of love and the ache of longing for those they have lost. In every whispered prayer, no soul is ever truly forgotten," Anglo said in a news release on Friday.
