Manila, Aug. 11 -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized PHP36.73 million worth of illegal drugs during operations from Aug 1 to 8 in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to pursue a relentless campaign against the drug trade.

In a statement on Monday, PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez said the PDEA agents conducted 58 buy-bust operations, served three search warrants, and conducted three interdiction operations that resulted in the confiscation of 2,699.83 grams of shabu and 19,088 grams of marijuana.

The PDEA operatives also arrested 63 drug pushers, 29 drug den visitors, 31 drug den owners/maintainers, and various other high-value targets.
