Manila, June 12 -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Flash Express Philippines, Co., Ltd., an e-commerce delivery courier, have signed an agreement to address drug trafficking using online door-to-door delivery services.

PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez and Flash Express deputy director for communications and government relations Reginald Rex Pumihic signed the memorandum of agreement at the PDEA national headquarters in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, PDEA and Flash Express Philippines agreed to synchronize their efforts to prevent the delivery and/or transportation of packages containing illegal drugs and controlled precursors and essential chemicals (CPECs) into the country.
