Manila, Sept. 24 -- The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) has issued an advisory reminding government agencies that the diversion of the Gender and Development (GAD) budget to non-GAD activities and the pooling of funds through unauthorized directives are strictly prohibited.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Commission noted that Advisory No. 2025-01 was released to address persistent misconceptions on the use of GAD funds, which are mandated under the Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act 9710) and the General Appropriations Act.
