Manila, March 4 -- Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Jay Ruiz on Tuesday said he is expecting a smooth leadership transition in the People's Television Network (PTV) following the appointment of former executive secretary Oscar Orbos as the new head.

In a Palace press briefing, Ruiz said Orbos' appointment as acting PTV general manager is now being processed, after his predecessor, Antonio Nebrida Jr., tendered his courtesy resignation.

"We have accepted the courtesy resignation of former General Manager Toby Nebrida and we already talked to former Executive Secretary Manong Oca Orbos to be his replacement as OIC (officer-in-charge) in the state-run or -owned PTV-4. He's going to be the general manager of PTV-4 as OIC,"...
