Manila, Jan. 15 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Sorsogon suspended all watercraft and vessel operations in the province on Thursday due to the effects of Tropical Depression Ada.

In an advisory issued Wednesday night, PCG Sorsogon Commander Lt. Ronnie Esparagoza said the suspension is due to the tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 raised in the province.

"In this regard, all trips of watercraft/vessel plying in and out within the waters of Sorsogon are hereby suspended, except to take shelter," the advisory said.

Esparagoza said the advisory is in effect until further notice from this Station, in reference to the weather forecast from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
