Manila, April 1 -- The appointment of Rear Admiral Mitzie Silva-Campo, the first-ever female two-star general of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), is a "remarkable milestone" and an inspiration for women.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, herself a PCG Auxiliary Rear Admiral and a staunch women's empowerment advocate, on Monday said this as she congratulated Silva-Ocampo for her historic feat.
