MANILA, Nov. 27 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged residents of the Baseco Compound in the City of Manila to take advantage of the free health services under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).
This came as Marcos announced that the President Corazon C. Aquino General Hospital, also known as Baseco Hospital, now has an accredited YAKAP Clinic.
Marcos encouraged Baseco residents - one of the poorest communities in the City of Manila - to register with the YAKAP Clinic to avail of free primary care check-ups, basic laboratory services, screening tests, and medicines.
