Manila, April 14 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will spend the Holy Week with his family, but will continue to monitor national developments and has directed key agencies to ensure safe and convenient travel for the public during the holiday period.

In a Palace press briefing on Monday, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro bared that Marcos will continue to work in Malacanang until midweek.

"He will spend his time with his family," Castro said.

She said the Chief Executive will remain engaged with official functions and hold meetings in the Palace until Wednesday, before taking time off to observe the religious holiday.
