Manila, Nov. 8 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Saturday all concerned government agencies are on full alert as Typhoon Uwan (international name Fung-wong) intensifies and approaches Northern Luzon.

In a statement, Marcos also urged the public to remain calm but stay vigilant, emphasizing the importance of preparedness to minimize the potential adverse effects of the typhoon.

"Patuloy nating binabantayan ang pagtindi ng Bagyong Uwan habang papalapit ito sa Hilagang Luzon (We continue to monitor how Typhoon Uwan intensifies as it approaches Northern Luzon)," he said.
