Manila, Sept. 9 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday stressed the need for continued cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia, as he acknowledged the two nations' stronger bilateral relations.
In a media interview before departing from Phnom Penh, Marcos said his three-day state visit to Cambodia has opened "many new avenues of cooperation" with the Cambodian government and business community.
Marcos, however, acknowledged that much more needs to be done, noting that total trade between the Philippines and Cambodia only reached USD100 million, significantly lower than Phnom Penh's USD10 billion in bilateral trade with Vietnam.
