Manila, Nov. 7 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday vowed to sustain relief efforts in Cebu and ordered the relocation of residents from "no-build" zones, following the massive devastation caused by flash floods due to Typhoon Tino in the province.

In a statement after a situation briefing, Marcos assured the typhoon victims of his commitment to provide continued assistance until they fully recover.

Marcos said displaced residents whose houses were totally and partially damaged would each receive PHP10,000 and PHP5,000, respectively.

"We will help them to recover, put them back on their feet and do what we can to make up for the loss that they have suffered," he told reporters after the briefing at provincial capitol in Cebu ...
