Manila, Feb. 27 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday expressed elation and excitement as he led the inauguration of another portion of the Pasig River Esplanade project.
Speaking at the rites in Intramuros, Marcos hailed the ongoing revitalization of the historic waterway, noting that the project will have significant social and economic benefits for Metro Manila.
Marcos, along with First Lady Liza Marcos and other government officials, inaugurated Phase 3 of the Pasig Rehabilitation Project called "Pasig Bigyang Buhay Muli (PBBM)", which aims to restore the vibrant state of Pasig River by establishing an esplanade for the public.
