Manila, Jan. 26 -- Malacanang on Monday said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has returned to his regular work schedule following an overnight medical observation last week, dismissing claims that he needs surgery as "fake news."

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President's condition has improved and that he is already attending meetings in Malacanang.

"Sa ngayon po ay masasabi nating maganda po ang kalagayan ng ating Pangulo dahil siya po ay kasalukuyang nasa meeting (At this point, we can say that the President's condition is good because he is currently in a meeting)," Castro said in a press briefing at the Palace.
