Manila, Dec. 12 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday said the Banago Port Improvement Project will serve as a model for the country's terminals and ports to ensure a more efficient and modern services for passengers and cargo.

After inspecting the upgraded Banago Port, Marcos said the new Port Operations Building (POB) can now accommodate up to 500 passengers, a significant increase from the previous capacity of 50.

"This is now going to be the standard design for our terminals, for our ports around the country," Marcos told reporters.

"And the reason it's important to have a standard design so that ang tao, ang pasahero, kahit saan sumasakay, saan bumababa, alam nila kung saan bibili ng ticket, saan maghihintay, saan papasok...
