Manila, June 11 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Wednesday the San Juanico Bridge badly needs rehabilitation after years of neglect, citing what he saw when he personally checked parts of the historic bridge.
Speaking to reporters at the Amandayehan Port in Basey, Samar, the Chief Executive said the bridge is in good condition "looking at it from outside" but steels underneath have rust based in the assessment of experts contracted by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
