India, Sept. 22 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday assured the public that government agencies are on full alert and closely monitoring the situation in areas affected by Super Typhoon Nando (international name: Ragasa).

"Nakatanggap tayo ng mga ulat mula sa iba't ibang probinsya ukol sa Bagyong Nando. Malalakas ang hangin na nararanasan, ngunit sa ngayon ay hindi pa malakas ang ulan (We have received reports from various provinces regarding Super Typhoon Nando. Strong winds are being experienced, but so far there has been no heavy rain)," Marcos said in a statement.

He added that preemptive evacuations have already been conducted, and the needs of evacuees are being attended to.
