MANILA, Nov. 28 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn at Malacanan Palace in Manila on Thursday to discuss the Philippines' preparations for hosting the regional summit in 2026.
In a Facebook post, Marcos emphasized the importance of strong coordination between the Philippines and the ASEAN Secretariat to chart a future that benefits the region.
"It was a pleasure to welcome ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn as we prepare for the Philippine Chairship of ASEAN in 2026," Marcos said.
