Manila, Jan. 15 -- Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 is still hoisted over some parts of the Philippines as Tropical Depression (TD) Ada maintained its strength Thursday noon.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Ada was last tracked 420 km. east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
Ada forecast to reach tropical storm category within the day.
