Manila, Jan. 15 -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced a scheduled 12-hour power outage affecting several towns in Albay on Saturday.
Joyce Balancio, NGCP's lead specialist for government relations and regional affairs, said the interruption will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. due to preventive and corrective maintenance on the Tiwi C-Pawa-Tabaco 69 kV transmission line.
Balancio said specific areas affected would be determined by the Albay Electric Cooperative (Aleco).
Aleco Public Information Officer Anj Galero confirmed that the outage will impact the entire Tabaco and Malinao substation, affecting towns and cities in Albay's 1st District, including Tiwi, Malinao, Malilipot and Tabaco City.
