MALASIQUI, Nov. 24 -- The Pangasinan provincial government is set to receive PHP50 million from the national government for its post-disaster rehabilitation.
In an interview on Monday, Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino said the funds will support house repairs, aid affected fishermen, and help those who lost livelihoods, fish pens, cages, and boats during the recent onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan.
"This is at least a first step to help our affected countrymen. Last Nov. 17, Special Assistant to the President, Secretary Anton Lagdameo, (during a visit) assured that the national government will extend all available support and assistance to the province of Pangasinan for those affected by the super typhoon," he said.
