Manila, Dec. 30 -- The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) has warned cops and civilian gun owners against indiscrimate firing ahead of the New Year's Eve revelry.
Pangasinan PPO director Col. Arbel Mercullo, in a radio interview on Tuesday, said the Philippine National Police (PNP) is implementing a one-strike policy on indiscriminate firing among police personnel upon the directive of PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
"It is clear that with just one violation on indiscriminate firing is equivalent to the accountability of the chief of police as his command responsibility," he said.
