Manila, May 21 -- Malacanang on Wednesday invited qualified young Filipinos to experience public service and take part in the paid internship program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro encouraged eligible students to take advantage of the DSWD's Government Internship Program (GIP), noting the program's dual benefit of training and income.

The GIP is designed to equip the youth with practical skills for employment - particularly in government offices - while providing financial support.

Application is open to college students aged 18 to 25, preferably incoming third- and fourth-year students for the coming school year.
