Manila, Jan. 31 -- There has been no discussion on proposed constitutional amendments, but the plan may be considered if raised to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Malacanang said on Saturday.

"Hindi pa po iyan napag-uusapan sa ngayon (That matter has not been discussed yet at this time)," Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a text message to Palace reporters.

Castro's statement came after Senate President Vicente Sotto III suggested revising the 1987 Constitution, saying the move is seen as a solution to address issues on impeachment rules.

Castro said Marcos and his administration are focused on implementing measures aimed at stimulating economic growth.
