Manila, Jan. 29 -- Malacanang on Thursday said it expects the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to act on the circulation of a fake medical document allegedly detailing the health condition of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said spreading false information about the President's health is a serious matter.

"Dapat lang tignan dahil hindi na po biro ang biruin ang kondisyon ng kalusugan ng Pangulo (It must be investigation because making jokes or fabrications about the President's health condition is no laughing matter)," Castro said in a Palace press briefing.

Castro said the NBI is expected to take prompt action and identify the people behind the circulation of the fake document.
