Manila, Feb. 13 -- Malacanang on Friday said survey numbers are not a measure of success and should not be used to manipulate public perception.

The statement came after results of the Social Weather Stations survey conducted Nov. 23 to 30, 2025 showed that only 40 percent of 1,200 respondents were satisfied with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s performance, lower than the 54 percent garnered by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the latest figures were a surprise and that it remained unclear how the results were tabulated.

She expressed skepticism over the poll results, stressing that Marcos is busy working while Duterte is on vacation.
