MANILA, Nov. 28 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its presence to maintain peace and security ahead of the large-scale anti-corruption rallies scheduled for Nov. 30, Malacanang said on Friday.
"Pangatlo na nga po itong rally so handa na po ang PNP pagdating diyan (This is already the third rally, so the PNP is prepared for it)," Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a press briefing.
Castro noted that about 15,097 police personnel will be deployed, as more than 50,000 participants are expected to join the protest action.
She added that the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is already on full alert.
