Manila, Dec. 16 -- Malacanang on Tuesday said there is an initial agreement that motorists can access the 1.3-km Bucana Bridge in Davao City daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"At ang sinasabi po dito na ang initial agreement ay maaari pong buksan, passable ang two lanes at maaari pong magamit sa umaga - 6 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. (Under the initial agreement, the road can be opened, with two lanes passable and usable from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.)," Palace Press Officer Claire Castro told reporters.

This statement came after Acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte criticized the reportedly "premature" opening of Davao City Coastal Road Segment B on Monday.
