Manila, Dec. 31 -- Malacanang on Wednesday said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will remain in the Palace to continue reviewing the proposed 2026 national budget and will welcome the New Year with his family.

Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the President has no travel plans as he is focused on budget-related work.

"Ang Pangulo ay narito lamang at walang pagbibiyahe na magaganap (The President will remain here and no travel will take place)," Castro said

She added that Marcos will spend the New Year with his loved ones.

"Kasama niyang sasalubungin ang Bagong Taon ang kanyang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay (He will welcome the New Year with his family and loved ones)," Castro said.
