Manila, Oct. 9 -- Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL), in coordination with the Lucio Tan (LT) Group and other partners, has airlifted almost 20 tons of humanitarian cargo in quake-hit Cebu.
"PAL stands in solidarity with the people of Cebu during this challenging period and remains steadfast in its commitment to providing support where it is needed most," the airline said in a statement on Thursday.
PAL said it will continue to extend urgent assistance to Filipinos affected by the Sept. 30 magnitude 6.9 offshore quake.
"These efforts will be undertaken within the capabilities of our available aircraft, as we carry out humanitarian missions alongside our regular flight schedules," the Tan-led carrier said.
