Manila, Jan. 16 -- Tropical Storm Ada (international name Nokaen) maintained its strength and is likely to remain as a tropical storm, the weather bureau said in its 5 p.m. bulletin on Friday.
Ada is forecast to weaken into a tropical depression by Tuesday, and into a remnant low by Wednesday.
Ada packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center, and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
It was last tracked 255 km east northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 335 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar. It is moving northwest at 20 kph.
