Manila, Dec. 18 -- The Pag-IBIG Fund has partnered with construction firm Megawide Construction Corp. to fast-track the building of about 7,143 socialized housing units under the expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH).

In a news release Thursday, Pag-IBIG Fund said medium-rise residential projects -- priced below prevailing market rates for comparable units -- would be developed, placing them within the socialized housing range while offering amenities typically found in higher-priced developments.

The units are expected to be completed within two to three years.
