Manila, June 24 -- The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is ready to deploy its transport aircraft should the government call for a full repatriation of Filipino citizens amid rising tensions in the Middle East due to the conflict between Iran and Israel.
"(The) PAF has been involved in repatriation activities (before) and we commit normally the C-130s and right now we have the C-295 platforms," PAF commander Lt. Gen. Arthur Cordura said in a press briefing at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City on Tuesday.
Cordura also said that they will immediately make these planes available once needed.
