MANILA, June 2 -- The government has provided over PHP9 million worth of assistance and other relief goods to six regions affected by bad weather due to Typhoon Betty, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday.

In its latest disaster bulletin, the agency said a total of PHP9,747,456 worth of assistance were sent to Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to help families heavily affected by the typhoon.

The amount covers food and non-food items such as butane canisters, hygiene kits, laminated sacks, modular tents, portable stoves, sleeping kits and fuel.
