Manila, Feb. 6 -- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives have confiscated PHP43.36 million worth of electronics in Meycauayan, Bulacan amid the government campaign against illegal manufacturing and distribution of consumer goods.

In a statement Thursday, CIDG chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said CIDG personnel, armed with search warrant for violation Republic Act 7394 or Consumer Act of the Philippines, arrested four suspects during operation dubbed Oplan Megashopper on Feb. 5.

Chi Ho, a Chinese owner of the raided Hot Screen Electric Corporation located along Global St., Sterling Industrial Park in Barangay Libtong, was among the arrested suspects.
