ILOILO CITY, Dec. 19 -- A buy-bust operation conducted by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) in Arevalo district on Thursday afternoon netted three high-value individuals and seized 700 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP4.76 million.

In a report on Friday, the ICPO said arrested during the operation in Barangay Calaparan were "Agi," 37, "Dona," 46, who are both single and jobless, and "Gay," 51, married and a construction worker.

Operatives confiscated 14 plastic sachets containing the suspected drug item, buy-bust money and other non-drug items.

ICPO director Col. Kim Legada said the local police will not allow drug traffickers to take advantage of the holiday season.
