Manila, March 11 -- The distribution utility here has already reimbursed around PHP4.2 million in deposit refund to electric consumers who are prompt in paying their dues and have not experienced electrical disconnection.

MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) started refunding bill deposits of consumers in June of 2023.

The latest reimbursement, worth PHP242,189, was released on March 7 to 29 to consumers who applied for connection 36 months ago.

"This is the 21st batch of consumers who received their refund, which ranges from PHP2,500 to PHP8,000, depending on the type of connection they have," MORE Power said in a statement on Tuesday.
