Manila, March 24 -- The Department of Agrarian Reform in Bicol (DAR-5) has turned over two farm-to-market road (FMR) projects that are expected to boost agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) productivity and income in Albay towns.
The PHP150-million farm-to-market roads (FMRs) include the 2.39-kilometer Calzada-Malabnig-Mapaco in Guinobatan, and the 1.97-km Itaran-Sitio San Luis-Lourdes project in Polangui, Albay.
In his speech during the inauguration in Guinobatan on Monday, DAR-Albay provincial agrarian reform program officer Maria Eugenia Alteza said the PHP100-million FMR is expected to help 389 ARBs transport their products more easily.
